The Information Society's Brazilian Official Website, in the name of all brazilian InSoc fans, would like to request a white star for the band "Information Society" on First Avenue's outside, that has been painted recently.

We know that Information Society started their trajectory in your traditional house, since their début in the Minneapolis music scene in the end of the 80's. So, we think that would be great if InSoc get their name in one of the white stars of the club this time, because they never had one.

Information Society were, and still are, an enormous success in Brazil. As you know, InSoc were one of the main stars of the Rock in Rio 2 (1991), a rock / pop festival that brought to Rio de Janeiro many artists, as Guns 'n Roses, Prince, INXS, A-ha, Billy Idol and George Michael. This music festival is one of the most important events of this kind in the world, and next year they will promote the 3rd edition. Some bands, as REM and Red Hot Chilli Peppers are confirmed.

In the night of Information Society, there were over 100,000 people in the Maracanã Stadium, dancing and singing all the hits of the band: What´s on your mind, Think, Walking Away, Running and others. Their set was considered the best show of that night. After that, they started a big tour in Brazil and played in over 20 cities.

They were back in Brazil in 93 and 96, and now we are waiting for the return of the band next year.

So, we are sending this e-mail because we hope that this time InSoc can get their own white star on First Avenue's outside.

They really deserve.
